On Location Tour Summer 2010

On Location Tour 2010

Overview
After being introduced to the sport by my parents at a very early age and then having the opportunity to try water skiing for the first time on my 7th Birthday, I have not looked back since. My parents part owned a small outboard boat with another family and used to ski every weekend on the River Trent no matter what the weather and if we though we could ski on it we would try, even if the object did not float. I imagine there are many strange objects lying on the Riverbed. I soon learned to slalom ski and fell in love with the sport after watching the 1981 World Championships held in the UK that year. This is where I decided I wanted to become a professional water-skiers.

After nearly 30 years on in the sport, winning many events including 3 World Cup Tour Championships and coaching thousands of students, I still love to compete and teach the sport at all levels, I have been a student of the sport for most of my life and feel I have a great deal of experience and knowledge to share with skiers of all ages and levels. After coaching at many ski schools, I open my own school some years back Jodi’s Ski Skool. I have also traveled the world holding many coaching clinics.

This July, August & September we are taking Jodi’s Ski Skool on the road this summer in the form of the On Location Tour where we will come to your favorite ski sight instead of you having to travel to ski school. No flights, rental cars, hotels or strange site to get used to, you can be relaxed and learn in your own familiar back yard or ski club.

Arrange it with your friends, your ski Club, with your lakes owners, or just yourself, we will make it a great experience for all involved no matter whether you are just getting started in the sport, or have skied for many years already.

Pricing
Every skiers loves to have those almost glass calm conditions to train and compete on, but of course this rarely happens or at least when you want it to happen most. We of course can’t control the weather or the conditions for the most part and being able to ski in all conditions is what we would all like to be able to do, right?

We recommend the optimum return on the cost per person is to have 6-8 students daily. This allows a great deal of time working together to understand where you are with you skiing and where we can take it. We will break down the things we will work on over 3 sets per person spread across the day, which should last 8-9 hours. There can be up to 12 students for each coaching day but this would limit the rides to 2 per person, or a maximum of 24 sets for the day.

It is also possible to have two groups, one for the morning session and one for the afternoon session. This works well if there are some of the students who can’t make either the morning or afternoon session because of work commitment etc. I do recommend being available and onsite for the entire day, there is always something to learn and often from watching the other students when taking their lesson. Obviously any questions are welcome at the meet and great in the morning, when it is your turn to take to the water, or at the conclusion of the day.

The day rate is $1440, which works out at $60 per sets. This rate is all inclusive for each training set and there will also be Radar ski equipment for demo free of charge.

Pro Shop
There will also be a small pro shop set up on site with a Range of Radar Skis and Accessories for purchase, along with 4G and Jodi’s Ski Skool clothing, Smith Sunglasses and drinks and refreshments available.

Team Training
Being part of any Team is fun, exciting and requires hard work and training, becoming part of a National Team is an amazing achievement for any skier in any category and they should be very proud of this achievement. Being able to learn and train along side your piers takes patience, understanding and focus.
